Bowling for Bob
Moxon Sports Club has played host to the annual Bob Fitzpatrick Memorial Lawn Bowl Tournament.
The tournament was held last month and more than 50 players participated.
The tournament attracted players from many different clubs with varying skill levels and even included new amateur bowlers.
For almost 12 years, the tournament has been running and pays tribute to Bob Fitzpatrick.
Bob Fitzpatrick was a well-known and respected bowler within the Club’s Bowling Club.
For many years, Bob was a dedicated bowler and in his first year of bowls, his team made it to the state finals where they were runners up.
Sadly, in 2006, Bob passed away unexpectedly. Bob’s family and the Bowls Committee decided to run the Bob Fitzpatrick Memorial Tournament in his honor.
Every Sunday, Moxon Sports Club has a fun and social lawn bowls game where people of all ages and skill levels can play.
