Since the age of 3 ½ , Christopher Sousou has been playing tennis. Now 12 years old, Christopher trains at Moxon Sports Club 6 days a week with 2.5-hour long sessions under the guidance of Kellert Tennis Academy.

Earlier this year, Christopher was ranked 1535 in Australia. Currently Christopher’s ranking is 850 which includes other Australian Tennis superstars like Nick Kyrgios. His next goal is to be ranked in the mid 400’s by 2019.

“I love playing on the tennis courts at Moxon Sports Club, especially on the different types of surfaces.  I really love playing on the new hardcourt. Most importantly, I love working with my coaches John Kellert and Richard Kellert. They push me really hard but still make it fun. It’s crazy how much I have improved since coming here,” said Christopher Sousou.

Recently, Christopher participated in the Claycourt National Championships in Canberra.

“I was very excited but nervous at the same time. So, I played an average first match which I lost but then I won all my other matches after that which made me feel better. It was good experience for me. I want to win it all next year!”

Some of Christopher’s highlights in 2018 included winning the Nepean Spring Open 12’s single event, making the main draw of Nationals without having to qualify which meant that Christopher was ranked 19 in the Country and he won the 12’s single and Doubles in ACT Tournament which was held in July 2018.

With dreams to win the Australian Open and play for Australia in the Davis Cup, Christopher is a rising star with a bright future ahead of him.
