Honoring Bob Fitzpatrick

On Sunday 8 October, Moxon Sports Club hosted the annual Bob Fitzpatrick Memorial Tournament.

The tournament pays tribute to Bob Fitzpatrick, a well-known and respected bowler within the Club’s Bowling Club.

Sadly, in 2006, Bob passed away unexpectedly. Bob’s family and the Bowls Committee decided to run the Bob Fitzpatrick Memorial Tournament in his honor.

This years tournament attracted players from many different clubs with varying skill levels, with 28 teams competing with players coming from 9 different clubs.

Congratulations to the winning team Peter Fahey & Gary Corey from Cabramatta. Congratulations also to Peter Stapleton & Tony Freestone from Padstow who finished 2nd place.

Five place winners shared the prize pool of $1200.

It was a great day and was enjoyed by all involved.
